Our Fleet

British Airways Virtual Airlines offers a diverse and ever expanding fleet consisting of mainline aircraft, subsidiary aircraft, and an ever expanding list of code share airlines and aircraft. Our fleet is further divided up into ranks which does not just ensure pilots experience more than just another stripe or star on their badge, they also get a diverse choosing of routes and one or even two or three new aircraft to fly. The routes provided for each aircraft are also constantly updated as the real world British Airways and it's subsidiaries and code shares add new routes, this always keeps the route selection British Airways very modern.

To the left is a preview of the rank structure here at BAVA. Should there be any questions about a specific rank, further reading and screenshots for routes are below.

Rank 1 - Default Rank

Rank 1 is the rank that every pilot is given as soon as they join BAVA. Just because your badge only has one stripe does not mean it is limited in terms of the routes you can fly. Immediately, new pilots get access to both the Airbus A319 and the Embraer E190. These aircraft together offer a massive number of routes not just out of London Heathrow but also out of the smaller Gatwick and even London City hubs, the Embraer E190 even flies on more routes out of smaller British cities. When the CRJ update is released, the Iberia CRJ-1000 will also be provided at rank 1, flying many routes throughout Spain and the surrounding area.

Rank 2 - 4 Hours

Rank 2 is the first rank pilots achieve. After just four hours flying at rank 1, pilots will be given the rank 2 badge, featuring a second stripe. Rank two unlocks many subsidiary airlines of British Airways. Firstly, the Openskies 757 which operates between Paris Orly and New York's JFK, is unlocked, offering pilots their first real 'long haul'. Secondly, the Comair 737-800, while flown with the Generic livery in Infinite Flight, is also unlocked, this offers a diverse route network based out of South Africa. With the CRJ update, pilots will also be allowed to fly the Maersk Air CRJ-700 which flies many routes out of Birmingham to many popular European destinations. British Airways also code shares with Iberia Express' A321. This aircraft offers a wide vaerity of flights throughout the Mediterranean and mainly Southern Europe.

Rank 3 - 15 Hours

After 15 hours of flying, you unlock your third stripe and the 767. The 767 flies on both popular routes already unlocked by the A319. It also flies between Paris Orly and Newark New Jersey. While it may seem that the 767 does not unlock a wide variety of routes, it can bring some love to routes already unlocked.

Rank 4 is one of the biggest rank ups that BAVA offers. Once a pilot logs enough hours to receive the rank 4 badge, pilots unlock both the 777-200ER and the 777-300ER which fly many long-haul haul routes out of both Heathrow and Gatwick, including the longest route which is London to Sydney via Singapore. However the DC-10 is also unlocked, the DC-10 flies many, historically accurate, routes out of it's London Gatwick base out to, mostly America and the Caribbean, however also to select airports in Africa and more. Both of these aircraft really expand the reaches of BAVA pilots out to the entire world.

Rank 5 - 60 Hours

Rank 5 is the rank when pilots receive their final stripe on their badge. They also receive access to Boeing's newest aircraft, the 787 Dreamliner. This comes in both the 787-9 and -10 variants. While not as many routes are unlocked as from the Rank 4 rank up, pilots receive one of Infinite Flight's newest aircraft that's superior range allows it to fly the longest direct route, London to Santiago which puts the range of the 787 to it's limit. The 787 also flies to many smaller airports in India, Asia, the United States, as well as a few other locations. A broad number of routes are unlocked and gives any pilots many more routes that they can fly.

Rank 8 - 165 Hours

Once a pilot logs 165 hours their badge is complete with five stripes and three stars. At rank 8 pilots unlock one of the smallest aircraft in the British Airways fleet. The aircraft also only flies two routes, the one from London City to New York, and the return. Used as a replacement to the Concorde, this aircraft is one of British Airways' most important aircraft.

Flight Time Awards

After receiving the rank 8 badge, pilots can receive awards that are also flight time based. The exact flight times required to get a badge is not disclosed to pilots. The Chief of Staff award is given first. The stripes and stars are changed to a bronze color to show your dedication. After you receive the Chief of Staff award, pilots then receive the Deputy President's Award. The badge's colors are changed to a silver color. After that, pilots then receive the President's Award. This is the highest flight time based award in the virtual airline. The badge colors are changed to gold to show the insane amount of dedication required to achieve this feat.
